About HGC Psychology

HGC Psychology is a Bacchus Marsh-based clinical psychology practice founded on a simple but deeply held belief — that evidence-based psychology can genuinely help people heal, grow, and build more meaningful lives.

Founded and led by Dr Kara Granger, the practice exists to give people access to high-quality, compassionate psychological care in a setting where they feel safe, respected, and truly supported to do the work they need to do. Whether someone arrives carrying years of unresolved difficulty or is navigating something that has recently become too much to manage alone, the goal is always the same — to help them leave in a better place than when they arrived.

At HGC Psychology, clients can expect a warm, non-judgmental space where the therapeutic relationship is taken seriously. Sessions are collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each person’s individual needs, goals, and strengths. And while the work is often challenging, the experience is always warm, real, and unhurried.

HGC Psychology is committed to the Bacchus Marsh community and to making quality psychological care genuinely accessible to the people who need it. Appointments are available in person and via Telehealth, and Medicare rebates apply for eligible clients referred by their GP. Don’t hesitate to contact us today to book your appointment or to discuss your individual needs.

The HGC Psychology name and logo

The name HGC Psychology — heal, grow, connect — reflects what Dr Granger believes sits at the heart of a meaningful life: a sense of healing from what has held us back, growth toward who we want to become, and genuine connection to ourselves and others. These three words guide everything about how the practice operates. The logo is a lotus flower within an imperfect circle — chosen deliberately. The lotus begins its life rooted in muddy water, yet rises through the surface to bloom into something extraordinary. It retreats each night and returns each morning, its beauty undiminished. It is resilient, persistent, and quietly remarkable. The imperfect circle reflects what it takes to get there — the vulnerable courage of embracing our imperfections as part of the journey, not obstacles to it.
